Dr. Roland G. Chew, Fremont Dentist
I have been passionate about providing the best dental care available to my patients. I enjoy being able to provide dentistry with the latest in dental technique and technology but more importantly, I enjoy working with patients and helping them to their best dental health. It sometimes comes in the form of a patient appreciating the time spent explaining a procedure, completing treatment efficiently and/or having a well-trained staff providing great customer care.
Being a dentist has allowed me to meet people from many diverse cultures and with many unique personalities. It has shaped my life by making me aware that we are just one of many in this world, and it is important to treat all with respect and dignity.
Education and Continuing Education
A graduate of the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, 1993, my education gave me the competence and knowledge to provide my patients with the level of care they deserve. However, my commitment to learning did not stop there. I have been involved with many forms of dental continuing education over the years. One of my primary interests has been with advancements in dental technology with regards to tooth restoration and prevention. Lastly, involvement in the dental forensic sciences has been a passion of mine since 1998.

Outside the Office
I grew up in Fremont, CA, and I am proud to have lived and worked in this community for my entire life. Outside of the office I enjoy playing tennis and biking, as well as spending time with my two children.
I am involved with the community in many forms. I have been involved with Give Kids a Smile, which helps with dental needs of children on a local and national level. In addition, I have been involved with Remote Area Medical (national) and CDA Cares (state). They provide medical and/or dental care to people who are unable to obtain care due to lack of insurance or finances. It is fulfilling to by give back to my community and seeing the smiles of appreciation from so many people after treatment.
